Copper mugs and cups are the next big trend drinkware. I've seen them all over, not just on the internet. I recently went to register at different stores and I saw this type of copper mug at all kinds of stores, like Target and Pier 1 Imports. When I first saw them I thought that it was a weird idea and something that just wasn't for me. The more I saw it, store after store, it grew on me. I now think these things look so cool! I definitely registered for a bunch of copper mugs!

This mug is made entirely out of copper. It's not mixed with tin or steel or any other metal and it isn't just a copper finish or lining. This mug is also not lined with any sort of lacquer or plastic. When I read that the first time I thought, who cares, what difference does that make? When I started investigating, though, I found that a pure copper mug has huge advantages over imitators.

Pure copper mugs are the only way to make a true Moscow Mule, which if you didn't know is an alcoholic mixed drink that is made of vodka, ginger beer, and lime juice. Rivets are strong and durable, that's why they are used in high quality jeans in areas that are going to be put under higher stress, like the pockets. The rivets will hold up better than just stitching in the jeans, and better than just spot welds in the mugs. The copper handle is also big enough for your fingers to fit through. A lot of copper mugs out there have insanely tiny handles that you couldn't even fit one finger through, unless you had insanely tiny fingers. This specialty pure copper mug is wonderful for making true Moscow Mules and for copper infused water. It is certainly something to consider getting for yourself or for a friend with fine tastes. While I was investigating this mug I found 486 reviews on Amazon at the time of writing. This mug received an overall rating of 4.8 out of 5 stars! The reviews were obviously very positive if it was able to maintain an average of 4.8 stars with all of those reviews.

When I review things I look for the bad as well as the good so that I can provide you with an honest, well rounded review that is actually helpful in your buying decision. The bad reviews I found were mostly complaining about the fact that the mug becomes tarnished and a few of the mugs came with dents from shipping. As far as the tarnishing goes, the company tells you right in the description of the product that because it is pure copper it WILL tarnish, it is just something that you'll have to deal with or wash off if you want the benefits of a pure copper mug. And as far as the dents from shipping, that wasn't this company's fault, and they have a Lifetime Guarantee from manufacturer defects, and they have great customer service, so all of those mugs were replaced with perfect mugs.

By far overall, though, the reviews of the Moscow Mule Mug were extremely positive. People said things like "These are beautiful and a value", "They truly stand behind their product", and "Buying this particular mug was the right choice".
